Other Materials Used
Polystyrene Half Round Ring – 20cms
Extra ribbon or tulle to cover the ring
Pins
Scissors
Glue or tape to stick the ribbon to the ring

Instructions

You will need a polystyrene half round ring which measures approximately 20cm

Cover the ring with some spare ribbon or tulle so that it hides the white polystyrene.  Use cheap/spare ribbon as you won’t see much of this.

Take a piece of one of the ribbons and try around the ring to make a loop, this will enable you to hang the wreath once you have finished.

You then need to gather the ribbon and cut off strips about 3-4 inches in size.  They don’t have to be exact so you don’t need to be too careful about this. You will need to use a mixture of different colours and width of ribbons for a better effect.

You will then need to make a loop with the ribbon and place the pin on the inside of the loop and then pin to the ring.

I normally start with one colour and try to spread them evenly around the ring.  I also try and use the widest ribbon first.

You then just carry on doing this placing the different colour ribbons and using the thinnest ribbons to fill in the gaps.  I normally hold it up and turn it round to make sure I am distributing the colours and ribbons evenly.  You don’t need to be quite as exact as me!!

I just added a little bow to the loop to finish.

It will take a couple of hours to do this but the end results are worth it!

We will be back again soon with some more gorgeous inspiration from our Design Team.

Enjoy your day
