Cup of Warmth Tutorial as seen on Create and Craft

Good morning to you all

Today I have those instructions for the

Cup of warmth

  To make the Mug:
1.       Cut a strip of cardstock to measure 4” x 9”. Place on scoring board landscape and score across at 1” intervals. Turn the card 90 degrees and score at 1”. Use a bone folded to sharpen all folds. Cut up each score line to 1”.
2.       To make the handle for the cup die cut a 2 ¾” circle from cardstock, next cut a 1 ¾” circle from the centre. Cut the circle in half, measure in ¼” top and bottom of handle and score. Fold the flaps out and stick the handle back to back. Now cut a 2 ¼” circle from patterned paper and use the 1 ¾” circle to cut out the centre of the circle cut in half. Attach one to each side of handle and lightly ink the edges using the tea dye ink pad.
3.       Cut eight strips from the patterned paper to measure 7/8” x 2 7/8”.  Work one panel in from the end and attach six of the eight panels using PVA glue. Form into a mug shape and stick flap under the panel with no patterned paper on. You should have two panels next to each other with no fancy on. Secure on handle either side of centre score and affix the two remaining patterned panels.
4.       Turn cup upside down and secure the flaps opposite to opposite. Die cut two circles and attach on to the bottom and one to the inside of the cup.

 To Make the Mug stirrer:
1.       Take a coffee stirrer and lightly ink it using tea dye ink pad. Die cut two scallop circles and attach the front and back. Attach the stirrer to one sides
2.       Stamp image onto white ultra-smooth cardstock using memento ink pad. Colour using Copic makers. Place a slightly smaller circle die over image and cut out. Affix onto stirrer
3.       Finally take a small cello bag and fill with mini marshmallows, seal bag. Pop into cup along with a sachet of hot chocolate, candy cane and stirrer.

enjoy creating
hugs
